Gerbeaux Pouilly Fuisse Intimi 2007

With toasty, smoky notes signaling the role of some small barrels, the Gerbeaux 2007 Pouilly-Vinzelles
Les Longeays displays ripe apple-y fruit complemented by citrus zest and chalk, an especially creamy
texture for a white Burgundy of its price, and an imposingly long finish incorporating a reprise of spicy,
smoky barrel inflections. It is good to see the biodynamically grown wines of Beatrice and Jean- Michel Drouin in the States because they represent admirable Maconnaise values.
