Tinel Blondelet Genetin 2005 Professional Ratings: Wine Advocate 89 pts
Pouilly-Fume, "Genetin", Domaine Tinel-Blondelet The soil is made of "caillottes" (limestone stones).
"Genetin" is a name given in homage to the original name for Sauvignon Blanc: Muscat Genetin. The Genetin bottling is normally reserved for the most powerful Cuvees in the winery. No oak is used in either bottling, but barrel fermentation is practiced on one Cuvee called Quercus (never oak). The vines are 25 years old in average. This wine shows a pale golden color with green highlights.
Powerful and juicy citrus aromas.
Excellent as an aperitif, it can be enjoyed with fish and shellfish.
